Champion was founded by three brothers from Michigan, who started out supplying universities with their high-quality sweatpants and sweatshirts. They first patented their iconic Reverse Weave in 1938, finishing the process almost fifteen years later. The result was a durable sweatshirt constructed to avoid shrinkage.

All Reverse Weave sweatshirts, are characterized by the two panels on the sides. Even the cuffs, neck and bottom of the sweatshirts share the same characteristic; providing freedom of movement. Next to patenting this revolutionary garment construction, Champion is responsible for developing such archetypical pieces of clothing as the hooded sweatshirt and the reversible t-shirt.

The brand has recently gained renewed recognition. Without changing any of their characteristic production methods, they found a way to infuse a youthful air to their latest collections. Their sober street wear and athletic garb have owned Champion a permanent spot at etq store.

“There can be many contenders, but only one Champion.”
